Quick answer
Staking STRK earns rewards for helping secure the network, quoted as an annual percentage yield (APY). Your reward is roughly stake x APY x time, but it is paid in STRK — a volatile asset — and dilution, unbonding periods and taxes cut the real return. This tool pre-fills a typical 8% APY you can adjust.
How this is calculated
Rewards compound with the standard formula final = principal × (1 + APY/n)^(n × years), where
n is your compounding frequency (choose "no compounding" for simple interest). Dollar values
multiply coin amounts by the live STRK price; the optional price-change field revalues the final
position, not the yield itself.
The pre-filled APY is an indicative native-staking rate (5–11% range, verified 2026-07-12) — actual rates float with network participation, and platforms take commissions. Sources and update cadence are on the methodology page.
Starknet staking facts
- Unbonding period
- 7 days (cut from 21 days in 2025), no rewards while exiting
- Minimum stake
- No minimum for delegators; validators need a larger self-stake
- Compounding
- manual (claim and restake)
- Rewards come from Starknet's inflation (initially capped near 1.6% of supply) and shrink per token as more STRK is staked network-wide.
- Delegators earn each epoch only when their validator submits its attestations, so a reliable validator matters more than a headline rate.
- Since 2025 Starknet also lets Bitcoin holders lock BTC to earn STRK, widening the reward pool beyond STRK itself.
